This winter, the Free Speech Union is taking good-faith conversation on the road - ten communities from Whangārei to Dunedin, including the regional centres that usually get left out of the national conversation.
With a general election on the horizon, public debate is getting louder, more polarised, and less useful by the day. We think New Zealanders deserve better.
Each night, Ani O'Brien - Free Speech Union Board member and political commentator - is in conversation with people who know their subject and their community. Some nights it's one guest. Some nights it's two voices who genuinely disagree, with Ani in the chair between them.
Every night ends the same way: with the microphone in your hands, and a substantial Q&A.
